Mauro Modin Biography
Mauro Modin in time has improved and established his artistical talent reaching
a style of his own so far from any other contemporary artist. He stands out for his huge and impressive knack for painting and he got it in part as a self taught man beside the academic studies.
His striking talent for art and drawing made him choose to attend the Liceo Artistico in Venice. In there he attended the course held by Ferruccio Bortoluzzi a self taught painter and teacher who became his talent scout. They began a deep relationship and thanks to Bortoluzzi's encouragment and esteem Modin quite soon was able to take part to the group exhibition at the prestigious Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation for young artists. Bortoluzzi got involved in Modin's work promotion and growth. Modin's restless temperament like other artists' made him leave school and move to Milan to follow a course of publishing and comics graphics thus to improve and develop a distintictive style.
Modin is on the whole reluctant to submit to rules and regulations and considers art such as the exaltation of freedom. In the name of freedom before getting the status of painter when only twenty-two he travels as a roadie in famous rock bands' tours. he must have certainly absorbed the vibes of this world hovering between everyday life and surrealism.
Travelling is for such a free spirit as Modin a way to expanse his art and for a while he has been living in Paris, in Pigalle, Montmartre e Saint Germain.
He is a very forward artist lives and works between Venice and stimulating and trandy Milan. He is still working with several art galleries and he is in important music events. One of these is where Modin is back to his beloved visual art and music pact that is the painter Modin's pictures on tour with the musician Lateef in October.
Most of the Houses of Auctions in Italy and the French Artcurrial value his works for their originality. His art is involved in the transformation of chairs and tables as well proving one more time his attention to the world around him, everyday life and life itself.
